Mad Scientists at work - or not!

Teens are working on some science experiments because we've been asked to present a science event for school age kids during the library summer reading program.  So, we came up with about ten experiments.  How many didn't work well?  Too many!!!  We tried to make raisins dance, do magic experiments with pennies, make fizzing rocks, and clean pennies.  We had the wrong cap for a hovercraft, but will find the right kind!  Basically the experiments either didn't work well, or they were sort of boring, to be honest!

So....we've been exploring other kinds of experiments, and it looks like worms, batteries, and even some Harry Potter potion experiments will be used!!!  Yea!!!!  Now we have to try them and see how they work out.  And, we are going to "adopt" and name our worms!

We'll keep you posted on our progress!
By the way - the summer reading program will be on June 19.  10:30 or 2:00.
